London Photoshopped

I love transforming a photo in Photoshop. It allows anyone to get creative with their images. You don't have to be a computer whiz or camera guru to know how to transform your images. Just takes some time and creativity and you never know what you're capable of coming up with! :)

Since it's raining outside here in London, I figured this would be the best time to stay indoors (after already visiting a few museums in my area) and tweak some of my photos!

Enjoy, xo

Just cropped & lightened. Nothing more needed to be done. Makes for a good postcard.

Antiquity in a modern world.

Always fun to colour block! Especially with telephone booths.

Another new city, London Edition

After much anticipation of this, I've finally landed myself in London, England! It still feels very surreal to me to actually be living here. It is a fantastic city and I have yet to see all of it's hidden secret spots!

The history alone is astounding. It's so vast and rich in culture that I can't even pretend to give you any historical factoids. But what I can do, and what I find I'm supremely better at doing, is show you a photo tour of this beautiful city.

Be sure to check back in every now and then to see some new photos. I'll be here all year! Especially during July and August as I'll be lucky enough, again, to view the Olympic Games up close and personal!

It's an exciting year! 2012 is sure to just get better and better!

Enjoy the photos! More to come very soon!<3

Distillery District

Being a tourist in my own province is fun. Although I've been to the Distillery District before, it's often been to go to Mill St Brewery and that's it. This time, I was able to soak up the architecture and some of the fun shops. Enjoy these ones, I had fun snapping them :)

Trent Revisited

I recently visited some old haunts, which ultimately took me back to Trent University. I spent 4 amazing years here only to end up with a degree I'm no longer using or want to use. Oh well, the friends I made there are still some of my favourite people I've had the pleasure of meeting.

Walking through the campus was a bit surreal. The smallest detail from a memory would resurface after years of being put on a shelf in my mind. I had many great times while at school in Peterborough. It's amazing how time flies. It didn't feel like that long ago I was sweating my ass off on the steps at Bata Library, graduating with a couple hundred of my fellow friends.

Trent is a beautiful campus. I never got the chance to take photos of it while I lived there. This time, revisiting my past, I made sure to snap up as many shots as I could. So enjoy the few that I've posted today!!

The campus that is. It literally split the campus in half.

It's been a while...

It's definitely been too long since posting some photos. It's been a busy summer with plans changing from this, that, and the other. I'll be on vacation in a few weeks and hope to bring back some great photos. So keep checking in and there's bound to be something new once you do!
An assortment of photos from the summer. I can't believe it's already over and we're half way through September! Enjoy the photos, leave a comment or two!

the drought is over....well soon enough!

First of all, my apologies for being absent for the last few months. As I've stated before, it's been difficult finding my footing back in Ontario. Not having the beauty of the west coast at my door step has slammed the breaks of my photo-adventure. But fear not, this summer is shaping into something fantastic! Many photos will be taken, and finally bcvphotography can be updated!

This week has had its ups and downs. Sadly our boys did not bring home the Stanley Cup. Even more sad was the reaction of a few mindless morons in the city of Vancouver. I was distraught at the news of the riots, violence, and shameful behaviour of a select few individuals after the result of the hockey game. Unfortunately the reputation of Vancouver has been put in the front page news section of every newspaper in the country, if not the world.

I have posted a picture from deep within the memory of my laptop. This was taken via blackberry almost 2 years ago! A different time, a different team, a different outlook on a game that fans and athletes love alike.

I'm already going through hockey withdrawl! I'm looking forward to next season. Our boys can only get better from here. Having had the best season of their careers, I have high hopes for the Canucks next season.

Check back in throughout the summer! I promise to have new photos for you to enjoy!

Winter Blues

Anybody else really tired of winter?! I've had enough of the snow, below freezing temps, and near frost bite! However, there is one good thing about winter: the beauty of it.
I spent family day weekend at the cottage and was able to catch some amazing photos. What started off as a beautiful weekend in the plus temps, turned out to be undeniably cold with high winds. Everything was dusted with white powder and I could help but brave the windstorm to get some photos!

Enjoy! Be sure to have a blanket near by because you're bound to feel a bit cold while viewing them!
